Turkey reaches 38% of goalThanks to generous gifts, Turkey has sequenced 224 DNA profiles. Hereby, Turkey reaches 38% of their goal. Well done! Congratulations to our Turkish partners!

Turkey has securely sent 224 DNA samples of ALS patients and healthy controls for routine DNA quality controls at the UMC Utrecht in the Netherlands, after which the samples were sequenced at our whole genome sequencing provider Illumina in San Diego, USA. All whole genome sequencing data has been sent over the wire and is now available for the researchers. Their comparisons of DNA of patients and controls will generate new findings on genetic causes of ALS/ MND.
