France contributes first 403 DNA profilesThe French partners in Project MinE have contributed their first batch of 403 DNA profiles to project MinE, the worldwide groundbreaking project to find the genetic causes of ALS. This great progress is thanks to donations to ARSLA, the French ALS Association.

This first batch alone already makes France a major contributor of Project MinE. However, the French have set their goal high. Their aim is to contribute more than 2,000 DNA profiles in total!

A big thanks to the Project MinE partners in France and to all generous donors!

Sequencing

The first 403 samples have been analysed with whole genome sequencing, reading every single letter of the six billion letter genome. The researchers will now compare the DNA profiles of patients and controls to find the genetic causes of ALS.

Almost 10,000

With this new batch included, almost 10,000 DNA profiles have been sequenced in project MinE. This is the largest whole genome sequencing dataset that has ever been available for ALS research!

Together we can make a difference. Project MinE, make it yours!

Every euro will be spent on sequencing DNA profiles to search for the genetic causes of ALS. Please donate to help us speed up the search for treatments of ALS.
