Spanish musicians unite in a concert #PorUnMundoSinELA (#ForAWorldWithoutALS)The Barclaycard Center will bring together dozens of Spanish artists with the common goal of raising funding for research to find a cure for ALS.

Madrid, 24 November 2014. Big names of the Spanish music industry come together to fight against ALS by raising funds to finance research into this fatal disease in a unique concert that will take place on the 31st of January in the Barclaycard Center. The concert is also supported by some of the greatest figures of Spanish football such as Fernando Torres, Iker Casillas, Vicente del Bosque or Andrés Iniesta and some of the most famous Spanish actors such as José Coronado and Belén Rueda.

#PorUnMundoSinELA (#ForAWorldWithoutALS) will bring together on the stage of the Madrilian arena the well-known Spanish musicians Rosendo, Luz Casal, Miguel Ríos y Victor Manuel, who will join their voices with Marea, El Lichis, Rulo y la Contrabanda, El Gran Wyoming y Última llamada, Rodrigo Mercado, Sober, MClan, Quique González, Siniestro Total, José Ignacio Lapido, Burning, Miguel Campello and many other artists that will join the initiative over the next weeks.

The concert will be a grand unique musical event where some of the most important artists and celebrities of Spain will get involved performing pro bono so that, like them, their fans will get involved in the fight against ALS by filling the 16,000 spaces of the Barclaydcard Center.

100 per cent of all the money collected will be used to fund research aimed at identifying a cure for ALS, through FUNDELA (the Spanish foundation for ALS research) and Project MinE. There will be a “row 0” for donations of those people that cannot go to the concert. In addition, from the 20th of December until the day of the concert there will be an exhibition in the Barclaydcard Center to explain what ALS is, what FUNDELA tries to accomplish, what Project MinE is all about,  to raise awareness of the disease among the Spanish population.

Tickets are on sale since 27 November through the Barclaycard Center web page (www.barclaycardcenter.es) and Ticketmaster.
