Dr. Jesus Mora Pardina awardedOur Project MinE expert in Spain, dr. Jesus Mora Pardina has been awarded with two special prizes. The first was the 2015 Humanitarian Award of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations. The second prize was awarded this month, the Almendra de Oro, granted by a local newspaper of his native town of Barbastro in Aragón, Spain. Dr. Jesus Mora is Spain’s premier pioneer in the struggle for a world without ALS/MND.

Dr. Jesus Mora Pardina is a neurologist and director of the only multidisciplinary ALS/MND clinic in Spain, located in Madríd. He has worked tirelessly throughout his career to educate the people of Spain and abroad about ALS/MND and to find ways to improve the quality of life and care for people with this disease, both nationally and internationally. As a founding member of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations and a global advocate, Jesus Mora has fought for the rights and lives of people with ALS/MND all over the world. Although he is a clinician and researcher, his contributions extend beyond the world of science. He has brought Spain to the forefront of the international ALS/MND community and has promoted collaboration between organizations for people living with ALS/MND across Spain, Europe and the world.
